MSME Chambers South Africa
Our History
MSME Chambers South Africa started in 2018 as the SMME Chamber of Commerce. Before establishing MSME Chambers South Africa, our founder, Mr Noah Debeila, was involved in various organized business formations. His desire is to create an ecosystem that will support African MSMEs in becoming financially sustainable sources of income for families, eradicate poverty in the communities they operate in, and become local and national economic drivers. In 2024, we rebranded to MSME Chambers, and in 2025, completed the rebrand process as MSME Chambers South Africa. Inspired by the African proverb “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” We also changed our slogan from “Building Self-Sustaining SMMEs and Co-Operatives” to “Together Building Africa’s MSME Ecosystem”. This proverb and our new slogan emphasize the value of collaboration and unity in achieving our bold vision.
Core Objectives
- Entrepreneurial Skill Development: Provide workshops, seminars, and training programs focused on business planning, financial management, marketing, and other essential entrepreneurial skills.
- Mentorship and Networking: Connect students with experienced entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and potential investors through mentorship programs and networking events.
- Access to Resources: Facilitate access to information, resources, and funding opportunities relevant to MSME and Startup development.
- Advocacy and Awareness: Raise awareness about the importance of entrepreneurship and advocate for policies that support MSME growth and startup development.
- Practical Experience: Encourage the development of student-led ventures and provide opportunities for students to gain practical entrepreneurial experience through internships and projects.
- Fostering a Culture of Innovation: Create a platform for students to share ideas, collaborate on projects, and develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
